What About This One?

 

On the surface, the Dark Knight is a superhero action film. It's dark and gritty, and it broke box office records that way. However, as are most of Nolan's movies, it is so much more than just dark and gritty. It is, to me, a commentary on morality and ethics and the "right thing". Christopher Nolan is so character oriented and the actors he casts pull off their roles so well that we can see the internal conflicts beyond the external conflicts.

The first time I saw this in theater, I loved how dark and dramatic it was. But once I watched it again, and every time I watch it, I can appreciate how well done everything is. The acting, script, filming techniques, music, etc.

I want to highlight some of the memorable quotes, themes, and examples of the beautiful filming that makes this movie special to me.
